Frequently Asked Questions
Here are questions that we frequently hear from first time guests
These are the frequently asked questions we have compiled from other guests. If you have a question that is not answered below, please send an email to hello@epicure.club
Upon arrival we check you in. You present your ticket(s), which are scanned. You do not need to print them. We can scan the barcode on your phone.
You are then given an introduction by one of our team members. This includes a tour, an explanation of the rules and an introduction to other guests.
We make this process as pain-free as possible.
There are two primary rules:
- Be discreet. Photography or video are strictly forbidden. We destroy offending devices.
- You need consent to touch another person.
Everything else pretty much comes down to common sense.
Unless you are owned, all interaction is voluntary. You do not need to participate.
We have public spaces and private suites. You are welcome to watch anyone and anything in the public spaces, as long as you are respectful. Be a creep and security will request once that you change your behavior. On the second request security will discuss your behavior outside of the gate.
As the name already indicates, private suites are private. You can only enter and watch by invitation.
This is a very difficult topic. One cannot take a blood test at the gate and expect a result in 30 minutes. In fact, it would be difficult to get the results within 24-hours.
To expedite this, we would have to have a licensed lab on site. Aside from the astronomical costs, this would bring about numerous issues in regard to privacy. If a client has an illness, are we allowed to know? What if the client has an illness, but does not know himself? Are we in a position or qualified to indicate that he or she has markers in their blood that indicate cancer?
To our knowledge, no club of this nature anywhere in the world does medical testing. This means you need to take some responsibility yourself. Be careful with whom you interact and how you interact. Make sure you use protection to minimize any risk. Condoms are available at the club.
You are comfortable with your own toys. If you like, please bring them. Please note, that we cannot take responsibility for lost or stolen toys.
The check in time is similar to other hotels in Cape Town — from 14:00 hours. The check-out time is 11:00 hours.
Because photography and video are strictly forbidden at this venue. Our guests and staff expect and receive a maximum of discreetness.
It depends on the event. Some events are more suitable for food than others.
Sometimes we serve sushi. At other events we serve steak bites fresh from the braai (South African BBQ). Contact us to learn about our plans for the event you would like to attend.
In general, we recommend that you have dinner before you join an event. There are many restaurants in the area. Some are very good, others are fun. Please ask us for a recommendation.
We do not have a restaurant, as most guests want to try different restaurants during their stay.
We bring in a private chef for specific events and our erotic dinner parties.
Certainly. The only restriction we have, is that guest membership must be paid for every guest you bring.
The guest membership costs R1000 per visit. Consider this the standard fee for entry to this exclusive venue. Every good rule has exceptions. In our case some events are sponsored, so they cost less. Other events are more expensive, for example for single men that want to attend our Exclusive Swingers Party.
No. We care more about your character than we care about your age.
Yes, we expect you to:
- Be respectful to others, under all circumstances.
- Be discreet and respect the privacy of others.
- Ask for consent, before touching others.
- Follow the instructions of the staff.
Failure to meet our expectations will result in your removal from this private club.
We host our events indoor and outdoor. If it rains, come inside. If there is lightning, don't have sex under a tree.
Not at a party.
Not at this time. We come across interesting toys, so we might change our mind. Maybe in the future...
Our main music directions are Deep House and R&B. We will also play Techno if it fits the mood.
At most events we have 20 to 30 guests.
Our Masquerade Balls are the most popular events. The largest one to date had 145 guests.
We currently have Masquerade Balls for Valentine's Day, Halloween and New Year's Eve.
